    Artist description
Crazy Sadie are a four piece metal band based out of Thurrock Essex. Originally formed as a more industrial based act in 1997 for the purpose of performing at that years outdoor Thurrock Music Festival, they decided to become permanent due to the very positive response. Welcome to the world of Crazy Sadie - a world of down tuned, distorted guitar riffage, chainsaw bass, thundering drums and gutteral vocals. Crazy Sadie are a four piece metal band based out of Thurrock Essex. Originally formed by the Shepherd brothers Russ and Wilf in 1997as a three piece industrial based act featuring Russ on Vocals, Wilf on Guitars and Russ's old squeeze Karen on Bass, samples and a drum machine for the purpose of performing at that years outdoor Thurrock Music Festival. After the riotous response they received at that show from the ever mental TMF crowd they decided to make the band an on going concern. This led to the recording of two demo's at Southend's Nightfly Studios including the much talked about Dial C For Crazy and the follow up Crazy Sadie e.p.which also featured Lloyd on Keyboards. Since then the music has become more focused, loosing the sample's, synths and drum machine for a razor edge guitar approach leading to a tightening up of the Sadie sound and the recruitment of the ex Quick-Hi rhythm section John on Bass and skin pounder Colin the bands first live drummer. The Sadie sound draws from an eclectic range of influences from Ministry to Primus, Prong to Metallica and Slayer to God Lives under water it takes the best parts of each of these to form something new and exciting. Captured perfectly by John Hannon (Hundred Reasons, Earthtone 9, Understand, Woe, Kids Near Water, Stand Off etc..) at Mushroom Studio's for the new mini album Middle Finger Technology, which showcases six tracks of pure razor edge guitars, pummelling drums and mature song writing.

    Press Reviews
Middle Finger Technology 30th April 2003 By Richard Leigh at ALT UK This is a 6 track CD effort from Crazy Sadie, a four piece metal band based just outside of Thurrock in Essex. They play metal in the style of Anthrax, Slayer etc so if you are in to bands of this kind of genre then check them out. They play some storming metal with crashing drumming and a distorted guitar sound to produce a nice little base to lay their vocals on, which quite frankly are amazing. The top tunes on this CD for me are 'Human' and 'Murderland due to the sheer power and aggression that these two tracks give. They have an extremely raw sound and I feel that these two tracks would be enough to get them a label signing on the basis of, as a label would hear this much and just be totally blown away. There is amazing energy in this record and when listening to it you can feel it vibrating through you and crashing around on the inside of you. I would say that this band have some serious potential and this mini album proves that they have something amazing going and with the right label and the right backing they can go far in this industry. It was recorded at the renowned Mushroom Studios and again they have performed wonders and helped the band to create a raw and aggressive CD which could help them to get signed and hopefully will. This band is an extremely exciting band and if you are looking for a new favourite band then this might just be the one! Storming effort by Crazy Sadie here and from a genre which I am not usually too fond of, I am quite impressed and it could be enough to change my mind about it all! Check them out at www.crazysadie.co.uk Middle Finger Technology 14th April 2003 By Nick "William_Kidd" Parastatidis at Behind The Veil These 4 Gentlemen from U.K. have some really "mean" intentions and plans against all of us. The are determined to make you move your "lazy" asses and bang your heads till the very last second. Their music has the power, the groove and the melody that can excite you. Their Thrashcore is deeply influenced by bands like Slayer, Anthrax, Pantera, Biohazard and by their co-patriots Stamping Ground. I will risk to make a prediction here. I am sure that this band will easily find a contract and even sign to a bigunderground metal label, cause they have inspiration, a professional production and are a "tight" team. They simply have all the elements that characterize a winner, a band that can evolve and make itself known. Of you think that I exaggerate then you just have to buy their demo, which includes 6 songs (it could be a mini CD ? if it wasn't a CD-r) and you will be convinced that they have quality. Favourite songs, "Human", "Stardust", Murderland" and "Dead". Middle Finger Technology 18th March 2003 RG @ RG Monster Zine Crazy Sadie's 'Middle Finger Technology' looked an interesting and eye catching CD when I first received it. And I was eager to find out what the band's sound could achieve. Opening with the track 'Human' which hammers straight in with a monstrous beat. A very heavy formula, that keeps you on your toes from start to finish. Vocals sounding very raw and dark, blends in well to the over powering beat. 'Hell in Mind' builds strongly into a higher tempo beat. Another great set of riffs that switch the song between constant and rapid pace. Well put together. A very catchy song, in a head banging sense, it's a shame the vocals aren't that bit more clear. 'Down' taps in with a nearly wooden beat. Before kicking in with yet another impressive guitar riff and piece. The track keeps it dark and strong vocally and again plays with their metal edge. 'Stardust' draws in with a strong guitar piece before plunging into the deep dark sludge metal depths. The sound is very raw and indeed appealing! Yet another impressive song. 'Murderland' blasts in with an ever increasing tempo fuelling the song. This track feels more Metalcore in some aspects. A very heavy beat, distorted vocals and cracking beats. The stand out track for me. '15 Dead' plays in with the same sound as the last track, but plays into a different style. One the band is obviously even more comfortable with. Ripping the speakers to pieces with their excellent riffs and dark vocals. High tempo heavy metal. Overall if find this MCD very exciting to listen to and worthy of much more attention. Apart from sometimes losing the vocal to the enormous beats they produce, this band has got it right. The vocal is right and even with this slight niggle, still make the tracks sound dark and fantastic. A band with great potential.
