Artist description Booze Monkey is comprised of two individuals; BLUE (real name) and Joel "Spyder" Ludwig. Booze Monkey arranges their material for these two musicians. BLUE sings, plays acoustic guitar (both resonator and standard 6-string), and keeps the beat with a homemade stomp-box. Spyder plays a fretless acoustic bass. This arrangement creates a very distinct sound that is at once refreshingly new, and simultaneously familiar.

Artist History BLUE has been releasing records independently, via Sanity Check Musec, Inc. since 1990. He has, as of this writing released 8 solo records (on which he usually handles all of the instruments). He also releases industrial-dance work under the name Church Of Chaos, and is half of the industrial-rock band METAL MACHINE (with Terry Miller). Joel "Spyder" Ludwig was the long-time bass player for BLUE's live band "BLUE & the JADED" throughout the 90's. He also releases remixes under the moniker Spyder1313. In 2002 they joined forces once again and decided to focus their efforts on this band. Booze Monkey performs live, and records songs from throughout BLUE's solo catalog, as arranged for "the monkey". They also have new songs appearing for the first time via this unit.
