Musical Influences Nature and freinds

Artist History Hello, thanks for listening to this production. All of the tracks are recorded at home and started out as a low fi trip-hop project in Odense. It is a danish attempt to create a new electronic sound. As the music gradually developed, so did the technology and our experiments, and we had to try out many things on the way. After a couple of years we ended up with this more defined sound rather than our previously, digitally ”crushed” material. I started to make my own music in a traditional band with guitar/vocal based compositions for approximately eight years ago. We did some live performances then, but in time it became clear, that we had to go separate ways, for my part I chose music and found new challenges with new musicians. As a solo instrument I found, that a twelvestringed guitar, compared to an electric one, had the ability to stand alone and work effectively without accompaniment of other instruments. Therefore I got inspired to explore the sound of the german label ECM (editional contemporary music), whose music often concentrates on floating arpeggios; quite suitable on a twelvestringed guitar. In this connection I got followship of a piano player, and we began to combine this sound with sample material. Slowly our musical platform became more electronic and dusty involving new musical elements such as noise and sound design, but constantly with an instrumental starting point. So I ended up here in order to consider how to carry out this music in front of an audience. My first performances took place in our local club. Here I played the music alone, a difficult one man show with back up tracks from a minidisc recorder, where I sang and played acoustic- and synthguitar. Equipment and suggestions were needed from a person with a sound engineer�s perspective, to separate each layer in the music and to assist me in a live performance. In a local studio I met sound engineer and house musician Thomas Wind, who showed interest in my project, and he became a part of the music. Together we created new material and finished those songs, that I already had, and recorded them on a harddiscrecorder. This was a much more suitable medium for a live performance with realtime effects, and together with the new set up we got through a common concert. Through the last year we produced this promotion-cd to establish a wider connection to a relevant audience and not less a relevant label.
