I consider myself primarily a songwriter. I want to pitch my music to artists in Nashville. My performances are pretty much at open mikes and writer's nights. |

I've been told, I wouldn't dare to presume, that our lyrical style reminds people of Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and Dolly Parton. |

Artist History
I have come by songwriting in a roundabout way. I started writing songs in high school, but never really considered music as an option. I had never learned to play an instrument and just never thought it was something I could really do as a job. I thought regular people just didn't do that sort of thing. I was a really good student and wanted to go to college. My Dad was in the Army and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point. We lived there and my Dad taught Math to the cadets and we sponsored some also. Through this experience, I decided I wanted to go there, if I could get in. I got in, I graduated and I went into the Army as a finance officer. After a stint as an Airborne Finance Officer in the 82d Airborne Division, I got out of the Army, started a family, and started thinking about making music. I wrote my first new song when our family was living in Korea. That was 1999. Since then, I've written a bunch more songs, joined some great organizations, and met a lot of great people. I'm still aspiring and still learning and hopefully my songs will continue to get better. Who knows, maybe one day, I'll be lucky enough to hear someone singing one of my songs on the radio! |
