Artist description
The 420 Monks blend a variety of musical and cultural influences to weave a sound, which has a consistent groove to make the head the spin. Crafting songs that are tight enough to survive today's cutthroat radio standards, yet giving honest lyrical insight, the “Monks” are an island of authenticity in a sea of triteness. Throw in the high-octane force of their live show, and it’s obvious that this band is infectious! 420 Monks have a style, which blends hip-hop with rock, funk with metal, and metal with new rock. The sound is fresh and the band is always in demand. An updated tour schedule for 420 Monks can be found online at www.420monks.com.

Artist History
Bonz: As the front man for legendary rap-metal pioneers Stuck Mojo (Century Media Records), Bonz began by building a strong fan base in the South. Following each “Mojo” release (six-albums in all), that fan base grew from regional to national to worldwide. Bonz toured the world with some of rock’s elite such as Pantera, Clutch, Sevendust, Machinehead, and Type O Negative. With his rapid-fire delivery, Bonz has crafted a style of rapping that is all his own. He formed the 420 Monks following Mojo’s breakup as a means of expressing fully his creative vision. With 420 Monks, Bonz has truly come into his own, re-defining the genre he helped create.
John B: Atlanta music scene mainstay John B (guitar) adds an integral element to the band’s sound and dynamics. John performed sessions at top Atlanta studios including Too Short’s “Oakland City Studios.” As a live performer his previous projects Eracism and Society’s Children (RCA) were certainly noteworthy in their own right, it appears John has found an ideal home with the 420 Monks. John’s versatility with his instrument is astounding, and his creative chemistry with Bonz is strong. He delivers powerful harmonies and a unique approach to playing guitar. When asked to describe himself, the affable guitarist just grinned and said, “Just tell them I’m really, really good.”
Craig Maule: The latest addition to the 420 Monks family is bassist Craig Maule. On the national circuit, Craig toured as bassist for Lifer (Republic/Universal). Lifer toured in support of their self-titled debut album with Cold, Stereomud, Dope, Reveille, Saliva, Switched, Darwin’s Waiting Room & Nonpoint. Craig has also collaborated on projects with Erik Rogers of Stereomud (Loud/Columbia), Steve Seals and Dustin Lowery of Ether Seeds (Roadrunner), Kelly Hayes of Cold (Flip/Interscope) and Adam Renshaw of The 45’s (Artemis). Never deviating from the powerful foundation of the rhythm section, Craig provides a thick low-end to 420 Monks.
Carlos Torres: Puerto-Rican born drummer Carlos Torres has made a reputation for himself in the Midwest and Southeast. Carlos constantly toured the states with Chum (Century Media). He also played with regional acts; Dispute & CutLoveKill. Other collaborations include Scott Little of Leadfoot. His playing is influenced by a variety of musical styles, which incorporate to perfect 420 Monks’ sound. As the other half of the 420-rhythm section, Carlos lays a tight-rhythmic foundation for the band to feed off.
