Artist History
Laughing out loud - utter pretension, and yet not. Good fun, but pretty serious. Post Catfish Courtesy space-holder/time-occupation for Tom Kenning and Phil Skaggs.
Riding the Slackin' Beatnik wave of music, Weapons of Mass Influence approach making music with as much effort as going to bed. They find it best to record as they noodle and then gently mold the shapeless mound of riffs and used napkins into music and lyrics. When finding their inspiration they look no further than the unintelligible scribblings that cover their notebooks and, sometimes, their forearms. If you ask them the difference between art and vomit, they will undoubtedly point you towards a man kicking a dog. They find no value in art for art's sake; they look to establish a new form of creative media. Something that even the simplest of elephants could make without having their drawings sold as the next big thing. |
