Artist description
TOUCH is a rock band in the tradition of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers or the Pretenders. Front-woman Lanan Adcock's inspired song-writing and emotive voice drive the music of TOUCH. Motivated by a Bruce Springsteen interview, Lanan came to the realization that rock n roll was the answer to just about every question and so she pulled together some veterans of the Montreal music scene to back her up. TOUCH's lyrics will reach straight for your heart while the music simultaneously grabs a hold of your balls.
TOUCH's first release, their self-titled EP, marks an amazingly strong debut. Beginning with 'Rock Solid', a catchy track about love and regret, and wrapping up with the achingly bitter-sweet 'This Time I'll Let You Go', a slow alt-country number in which Lanan's voice is at it's best, floating above the twang of the guitars.
TOUCH's chemistry as a band is evident in their live shows and their love of the music they make is immediately infectious to anyone watching. Appealing to both men and women, a TOUCH show is a notoriously great place to pick up. |
