The first artists that come to mind are CKY and Clutch because, like them, we play riff-rock, (rather than pounding at the same three power chords over and over) but we sound like no other.. |

Artist History
|| One day, in late 2001, in south-east Texas, Chris along with friends Osiel, Robert and Robert's brother decided to form a band because they were bored. They wrote some songs, but never really recorded anything. Through time, the members changed around a bit to include Chris, Sal and Billy. Since the band had no set name at the time, they adopted Sal's suggestion, "The Black Monkey Project". At Chris's house they threw together a 5 song self-titled EP. At this time, Chris moved to eastern Georgia, where he decided to reform the band after some positive response to the older songs. The band currently includes Chris, Will Neville and Codi Rowe. They are currently looking for a vocalist and a permanent bass player. They are currently working on new material for their first LP release which will be recorded sometime soon. || |
