    Press Reviews
    5. October 2001 20:25 to our surprise we need not wait long for the concert to start. first mongers of mayhem are Still Not Fallen, constructed in five seconds flat, a solid wall of battery, power galore. the whole thing is rather short, but no matter. quality over quantity, i'm sure. familiarity hovers over these waters, though i don't much care tonight, i'm enjoying myself already. this is heavier than a ton of bricks in a steel cage, but they suffer the lack of pit activity which is always the problem with being first on the bill. after a disappointingly short set they scuttle away and so does most of the crowd, which wasn't all that large to begin with. probably all still at the bar or something. (20:39) ---------- 19:00 Still Not Fallen crashes into their metal with the fiery spirit of the dragon. one gets the name "Still Not Fallen" alludes to a 1200mph vertical trajectory towards the ground. there is a bit of a moshpit going, which is always a good sign, the outer conjections of which come ebbing towards me where i sit concealed behind spectators. i can't see much of the band and i couldn't really care less. it's the music i'm here for and that i can hear and feel fine down here in my little nook. heavy, good rythm which pulses with my heart and soul. so who cares if the only thing i've got to look at is fidel's arse. anyway, Still Not Fallen might work a bit on their compositions. add some pizzazz or something or other, but where enthusiasm and energy go they've got it in spades. if they add some swing they've made it to the ace. the pure hc seeps through on occasion and breaks into the simplistic, fast, grinding of this name. ---------- Still Not Fallen were selling there Demo CD at the place and at first place they arranged the concert. They jumped to the stage and than they didn't stop jumping on the stage, of the stage and all over the place, until sometime i had left the place. They slammed theyr rock heavy metalcore variant at the audiance with extreme pleasure and it was was nice to see how secure and the band has much more dencity and speed then when i heard them play at Kakóbarinn last year. The singer has so overvelming screams that his voice gets shredding and the drummer holds the grind parts dense and fast. This is a band I predict a bright future in the noice-buisness.
