Artist History Once Matthew James Vander Sluis (pronounced slice) studied songwriting with Pat Wehren. On the fifth of June, 2002, they performed to a packed house at Chi Theta Chi on the Stanford campus where Matt is a student. Then there was cheese and crackers. Also a large jug of apple juice.
