Artist History
The group was first formed in the winter of 1999. Although the name is new,
the members of the group have been paying dues for years.
Mace One, Along with Producer Bahgoe 74, have been making music together since 1987.
Mace and Bagoe were regulars at "The Goodlife Cafe" in Los Angeles, and were later
regulars at the infamous "Project Blowed" open mic workshop. Mace and Bahgoe Later
hooked up with their long time friend Calypso Capistrano, who brought his skill to
the table. These Three Individuals came together and formed "The Squadron"
With Bahgoe on Production, and Mace and Capi on vocals. As time went by
and the years went on, thier drive was increasing. On the other side of town,
A young lyricist was looking to hook up and make something happen. Young Nix
was known for killin' cyphers left and right, Freestyling every chance he got.
It wasn't untill 2000 that Young Nix Would meet his future bandmates in the workplace.
It didn't take long to realize that "Language Arts" was a number one priority.
Aziph, the youngest of the group (18) was first inspired to start emceeing
when he started listening to his older brothers music and attending all his shows.
Little would he know that he would join the crew and start making
tracks together. Mace, Along with his little brother Aziph and emcees Capistrano, Young Nix
And Producer Bahgo, are determined to make thier mark in L.A. Hip Hop History
