Artist History
Högsommarmännen (The Indian Summer Men) was formed in june 2002 by Skinner, Spinner, Bulf and Bonedaddy in a little town called "Bulf-Town" in Sweden.
(Bulf-Town is a little town not found on many maps, but it exists, believe it or not!!).
They had all been playing and making music since they were kids. Bulf was strongly influenced
by drum n´bass & techno, since he had heard some great stuff at his uncles house (Uncle "Baffen" the elder),
Bulf and Bonedaddy met at a lokal pub in april 2002, and decided to make some music that did not sound like
the ordinary crap that you can hear on the radio everyday! Bulf and Bonedaddy mixed Harmonica and electronic beats together
like it had never been done before! In june 2002 they teamed up with the two brothers "Skinner" and "Spinner" who also were great musicians, (and had toured around the country a lot!!)
They were so amazed when they heard the result, It was so brilliant, that all other music sounded like horseshit!! like ape shit!!!
In june 2002 they finaly could make it happen! Now they were all together with their instruments, writing songs all day long, Skinner & Spinner mixed in their electric accordions into the drum n´bass, techno & pop style,
and finaly "Högsommarmännen" was created and "Electric Light Accordion" was recorded at "B.S.S.B Records" in october 2002. And in November 2002 they released their nr.1 top 78 RPM single "Workout In Paris", and that is the story so far. |
