Press Reviews
Hailing from Chicago, Convectum is a band that strives to bring the intense energy of horror, darkness, and apocalyptic imagery to their audience through music. Spanning over a wide range of sub-genres, it is tough to pin this band into any specific one. But one thing's for sure: this is Metal. Starting out as a five-piece in 2001 (under a different name), Convectum went through many changes in sound and in lineup, before settling as a three-piece extreme dark metal outfit. Fueled by frustration with the current scene, and a distaste for many of the aspects of the people and the world around them, the members of Convectum use these less-than-thrilling facets of daily life to create the war-torn, blackened music that makes their sound unique.
