Artist description
Sphere3 are a four-piece instrumental group from London. The music they create is an innovative blend of intense rock and intricate jazz-fusion, music full of surprises, drama and energy.
Sphere3 have played extensively around the UK. In concert, they have gained a strong reputation for their powerful and dynamic live performances, and have played with several legendary progressive rock acts, including Magnum, Focus, The Flower Kings and I.Q.
They are currently performing both at UK festivals, and concerts throughout Europe in support of the release of their new album, Comeuppance, through Cyclops Records.
Its ten tracks skillfully encompass a huge variety of styles, from rock and metal, through funk, jazz and fusion, to classical, baroque and ambient moods.
This album clearly demonstrates just why Sphere3 have earned such high regard for the intricacy and textural sophistication of their compositions, and for the unstinting perfectionism of their performances. |

Press Reviews
Their music is tremendous. Powerful, innovative, truly "progressive" (Frank Blades, Alternate View Magazine)
Energetic, intricate and majestic prog full of twists and turns played by a band that were as tight as a gnat's arse. Prog Heaven, THE band of the festival. (Paul Beecham, rec.music.progressive)
Marvellous. Superb. Tremendous. Somehow they have managed to pack most of the things I like in prog in the space of the first two tracks. (Jem Jedrzejewski, Hairless Heart Herald)
Sphere3 are a very fast, technically brilliant band; They dare to be different - and it usually works! (Mark Nickol, Eleusis)
Original, fresh and full of surprises, this is what music should be about! (Jo Pitches, The Croydon Guardian) |
