Artist History I have no fancy degrees and few names of famous people to list here but I can claim to have played in some pretty obscure places. You have to look pretty hard to find Kaslo, BC on the map but I once played at a jazz festival there with a band called Fuego. Mostly some white guys trying to play latin american salsa jazz. I was the token Republican. Jump to Madison, Wis and back in the 60's you could find me playing at the Pirate Ship with a great trumpet player named DocDeHaven. I played there about ten years and inhaled enough second hand smoke to last the next 40. This was a place where people came in to party after the football games. A lot of people aren't sure where Spokane is to say nothing about an obscure jazz club called Hobarts. People who lived here didn't even know where it was. I played a lot of gigs there for about 7 years. Some famous cats played there too, like Chick Corea, Clark Terry and Lynn Arrialle. I can say I played on the same piano as Chick Corea. About the same time as I was getting fed up with breathing bad air and brandy fumes I was lead to a Christian church where they had some pretty good contemporary music. I eventually wound up playing keyboards and piano for the Manito Presbyterian church in Spokane where I found an interest in arranging old hymns and Christian praise songs for offeratories. At the same time I started reading the Bible which was a real life changing experience. This finally resulted in the recording of this Cd which is a project to raise money for some charities here in Spokane, including the Union Gospel Mission, Meals on Wheels and prevention of child abuse. I hope you are touched by the music in some important way and that God blesses you every way.
