Artist History In 1993, in Scituate Mass. Guitarist Shanti Fidler started working at a Sports bar called T.K O'malleys. There, he met a kid who had just moved to the area named Kenyatta Savage who happened to sing.. They shared a common love for Alice in Chains. This was to be the Zygote of what we now know as Fishbowl. Seeing that Scituate is a Summer resort town and winter was coming, both Shanti and Kenyatta got laid off at the same time. That gave them both more time to get to know each other musically, playing aucoustic guitar together and learning some covers. Thier first gig was a party that was thrown by Shanti's mother. Through the early winter months they played parties bars(and even some churches). This all came to an end when Kenyatta decided to move to try and save money to go to music school.. Shanti could have started a totally different project with totally new people. He did! I should say he started a totally new project! He didn't excactly get totally new people, he just added new people. This is when the vision began. Enter John Cordner. A happy, very together guitar player whom Shanti had met...where else? At a party of course! They had talked and it was agreed that john would swith to bass(John says he always wanted to play bass)! The drummer was to be found right in go old Scituate. Jon Randle. Kenyatta returned from Los Angeles. Where he had saved enough money to go to Berklee. Before Berklee started, he had to see how this new collection of musicians were to turn out. Thursday, August 31st 1995 was the first jam and it was magic! There was an exitment in the air! Fishbowl's first gig was on October 18th 1995. It was a benefit for a good friend of Shanti's who had recently passed away. It was a very inspired performance. After a few more gigs with Drummer Jon Randle, the rest of the band sensed Jon's passion for the band was gone. Shanti was working at a place called Th Red Lion Inn. He just happen to be working with what turned out to be an amazing drummer! This is where the final piece of the puzzle was found. Enter Kevin Shain. Kevin was much more rock 'n' roll than Jon R was. It just so happened that the rest of the band was ready for the change. Jon Randle and Fishbowl parted way and Kevin Shain picked up where Jon R left off. now Fishbowl is now here to stay.
