Artist History
deluxe began as an acoustic duo with Ryan McMillan and
and Trent Gauthier on vocals and guitars.
They wanted to write great pop songs and several
months into the project, the pair stepped into the
studio and recorded what would become their first ep.
Kenny James was added on bass and deluxe was born!
Their self-titled ep was released in may 2001 and
the single "carry on" recieved local airplay.deluxe
played dozens of shows as an acoustic trio and with
the help of different drummers, the band began to
perform as a full-on amplified live act.
after a successful showcase at New Music West 2001
the band began writing new songs and went to Mushroom
studios to record with Darren Grahn (Metallica/Nickelback)
at the helm.
With Pat Steward(Bryan Adams/The Odds) on drums,
deluxe recorded it's current ep "so far away",
which was mixed at Vancouver'sWarehouse studios.
The band is currently performing live and recieving airplay in Vancouver
and Victoria Canada with two tracks off their new
