Artist History Dave Schmeidler got his first guitar for his tenth birthday. Seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show left an indelible impression on the youngster of the power and beauty of music. The Buffalo, New York native learned quickly, and began playing parties, school and church dances, and the odd bar gig by age 15. A few of the bands have been Redrum, Small Aplliance Orchestra, Electroman, Blue Steele, and Maya. In 1986 Dave attended the Musicians Institute (GIT) in Hollywood, California, graduating with honors. Upon returning to Buffalo he began teaching and selling guitars at Top Shelf Music, and resumed performing live in the area. 2001 saw Dave releasing his first solo cd "Skyrats-Scraps", being selected to play on the " Hot Guitars From Buffalo" cd, and winning the "Best Original Guitarist" in the Buffalo Music Awards. Also, Dave joined the "Stringed Edition Guitar Ensemble Inc." , performing concerts and educational programs in local schools. Presently working on his second solo cd, as well as a number of other projects, Dave continues to grow and share his love for music.
