Artist description The music of the covington/gasparro ensemble is a progressive blend of jazz and pop that speaks to the soul. With beautiful melodies and picturesque lyrics framed by lush harmonies, the songs of guitarist/composer JEROME COVINGTON and singer/composer DANIELLE GASPARRO take the listener on a passionate musical journey. In the summer of 2000, jerome and danielle were introduced by a mutual friend who felt their creative spirits would resonate. Though they lived in separate cities at the time, an inspired musical exchange began between the two artists. Ideas quickly blossomed into songs. They discovered many shared perspectives on music and grew excited about their potential as long-term collaborators. Inevitably, the limitations of their long-distance exchange became an obstacle. In june of 2002, jerome moved to new york city to join forces with danielle, and a few months later, the covington/gasparro ensemble took flight.
