Artist description
Since their formation in the summer of 2001,
BURNTHE8TRACK have distinguished themselves as a
unique and highly energetic band. Combining the
hardcore and punk influences of their former band
– Guy Smiley – they have created a sound that is
simultaneously heavy and melodic. Members have
honed their explosive live show with over 1000
combined performances in Canada, the U.S.A, and
Europe. In addition to headlining a Western
Canadian tour, they have recently opened for
Ensign and Reach the Sky. In their previous bands
they have toured with Good Riddance, Sick of it
All, Ignite, The Misfits, Speedealer, SNFU,
NoMeansNo, H2O, and have shared stages with Green
Day, NOFX, Face to Face, and Propagandhi.
They’ve also been part of the SnoJam tour,
Pepsifest in Budapest Hungary, the Belgium
HardcoreFest, and have played at renowned venues
like CBGB’s in New York and Gillman Street
Underground in San Francisco. Members are
responsible for seven albums for labels that
include Epitaph Europe, Devil Doll Records, and
Smallman Records. Their recordings have been
distributed to over 28 countries world-wide. In
April 2002 they recorded their debut full length
with Justin Koop, best known for his work on
Grade’s Under the Radar.
