Artist History Bobby Douglas was born and raised in a small country town Southeast of Columbus, OH. Being an only child , music quickly became the focal point of this young man's life! His Mother, Geraldine (Jerry) was a guitar teacher, and his step Father, Charlie Adams, was a professional guitarist; This is when Bobby really started getting serious about music! Bobby's stepfather told him if you will learn to play drums, I'll use you in the band. Bobby worked hard to learn to play the drums, and that became a reality; He started playing the night spots and having the time of his life! Charlie (Bobby's stepfather) was part of the staff band at a country music theme park in Newark OH, "Hillbilly Park," and Bobby sometimes had the opportunity to play drums for them. "I didn't realize what an honor that I had; meeting and sometimes being on stage with the stars like Roy Acuff, Whispering Bill Anderson, Red Foley, Johnny Horton, Earnest Tubb and the list on on and on and on; I was to young to know the heritage that I was receiving: said Bobby. When asked who Bobby's Musical influence was, Bobby was quick to say "ELVIS! Thinking back and looking at my old record collection, Jim Reeves, Jerry Lee Lewis, Nat King Cole, Ricky Nelson; I liked it all (if it was good), but most of all, I modeled after "Elvis," and what I perceived him to be." Bobby further states "I loved my Mother & Father, and I tried to be courteous and respectful to others growing up. I'm glad that not many of Elvis's fans knew of his Drug Abuse; Who knows that might have been an influence on some; I just felt that Elvis was sick during that period, and it doesn't change the way that I feel about him. Some of Bobby's dreams have been coming true; Performing in the Ohio based "Center Stage Legends Show," doing an Elvis Tribute,touring Europe in 2002 with Gary Bradshaw, Western Heart Promotions, and he is currently working on a new album; Plans are coming together for 2003; Bobby will be touring New Zealand in March/April 2003 and many more things in the works! Bobby states, "Who knows where it will go, I'm just going to enjoy the ride."
