Artist History
The Grizzly Peak formed late in the summer of 2002 in Oakland, CA. In the early summer, singer/songwriter/guitarist Adam Stern met drumming prodigy Stefan Litrownik at a music school in Los Angeles. They instantly struck up a frienship, and when they came back home to the Bay Area, they started jamming with some of Adam's songs. A month or so later, Stefan introduced Adam to producer/engineer/bassist - and longtime friend - Matt Radosevich. After only 4 band practices the band recorded their 5 song demo at Matt's studio, and moved to LA to begin playing shows. They decided on the name "The Grizzly Peak" because it not only represents where they are from (Grizzly Peak road is in the Oakland/Berkeley hills), but it signifies the ruthless road to the top in the music industry - a place where all three members plan to be. In late 2002, The Grizzly Peak was joined by the brilliant lead guitarist Will Hauser, and the four piece then recorded a new three song demo with a more complete sound. |
