    Artist History
Plum Crazy is a working band. They have been fine tuning their sound and the keen ability to reproduce the songs we all know and love. Their set includes songs performed by No Doubt, Alanis Morrisette, Nelly Furtado, Janes Addiction, and Jewel, just to name a few. They'll even throw in an original song or two each night for good measure. As you may suspect, they have a female lead singer. Kris Long studies at MCLA in North Adams and her smooth voice has been called a "gift from above" by some. Matt Jenkins, of North Adams, plays bass and provides some back up vocals. Matt may be a Middle School band director in Pittsfield but can shake his geeky Mr. Jenkins facade to rock like a man on a mission. Greg Caproni provides the rhythm guitar sounds that keep all of the empty spaces in the music from being exposed. Greg joins the group in his spare time when he is not fronting his own soon-to-be incredibly huge group, Binaural. Jamie Choquette plays lead guitar and occasionally sings a sour note that is promptly covered over by Kris's angelic voice. Jamie works by day at MCLA, but by night, he looks like a guy who works at MCLA but with a guitar. Rounding out the line-up is Dave Luczynski on drums. Dave joins us in his spare time when he is not instructing drum machines how to keep better time. He also co-owns the Spoke, a bicycle shop in Williamstown, MA.      Plum Crazy formed in 2001 after Matt and Jamie stepped aside in the hugely pretentious intellectual-rock band Dr. Isosceles. After a couple of acoustic gigs, the duo decided that their music was good, but you just can't dance to it. Therefore, they enlisted Greg Caproni who was willing to donate some time to a needy cause to act as a drummer/guitarist. Matt's mad biking habit (he's seeking treatment for it now) led to conversations at the Spoke Bike Shop about music. Matt learned that the shop's resident angelic vocalist (each bike shop has one I think to take care of brakes and tune-ups) expressed an interest in joining a heavy metal death band. Matt told her we did that and procfuceeded to ask if she could sing Jewel. She said she could and the rest is history. Kris's colleague Dave became very jealous that she got to join a band and insisted that he join the band as well or Kris would be relocated to the Alaskan Spoke Shop headquarters. The band agreed and the line-up was secured.      Plum Crazy is available for shows at bars, clubs, colleges, weddings, batmitzvahs, store openings, basement keggers, goat baptisms, lamb sacrifices, small dictatorship country's centennial celebrations, opening for Led Zeppelin, funerals, and other celebratory events.
