Artist description
A cult classic waiting to happen (for better or worse), Penguins the Desperate Legion combine stripped-down lo-fi weirdness with British accents, music-hall melody, and elementary-school humour. Always unpredictable, though not necessarily always good. |

Artist History
In the spring of 2000, Speed, Stealth, and Ruthless Efficiency convened for one amazing evening, in which they wrote and recorded the songs below. Penguins the Desperate Legion may never march across the land again, but they have left their mark on history.
Reluctant that traditional means of distribution would disrupt their notoriously secretive lives, they chose the Internet as the ideal medium for their unusual music. The three members of the band, who have never released their real names, refuse to have their faces photographed and communicate with fans only through the Internet. With the band's approval, this web site was set up by fans to continue the disorganized distribution of their disorganized music. |
