Artist History Jason Bowers has headed out with a goal: to be a permanent figure in global pop music with genre-shattering songs that attract devoted fans of all ages. His vibe-saturated music is pop/r&b based and has strong roots from Jason's love of modern rock, global dance music, and 1960's and 70's pop. JB performs live with a dynamic band that backs up his recorded music with ease. Born and raised in Missouri, Jason is a talented multi-instrumentalist who has performed and written music since learning piano at age 8. Highlights include opening for national acts including Art Alexakis, Dishwalla, The Samples, Mest, and The Riddilin Kids and being selected as a national finalist in the 2002 John Lennon/BMI Songwriting Contest. Between his own e-mail list and a regional pop music site that he personally founded, Jason has instant reach to over 1,000 fans. He loves to travel and would re-locate just about anywhere to continue to develop his music and take it worldwide. On a side note, Jason is also a senior in Entertainment Management at SMSU in Springfield, MO… studying only as a second priority to his music, of course. Jason Bowers’ debut album, "Never Grow Old," was independently released this June and presents a variety of his songs as well as a catchy cover of Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover." However, the album is just a starting point. In the next months Jason’s goals include CMJ radio promotion for “Never Grow Old,” continued touring with his band, vocal development, and eventually relocating to a major-market city. Jason is a writer and performer for life. This 21-year-old songwriter brings you an accessible but unique sound: the sexy, chill vibe of Midwest pop & rock packaged alongside the sharp, eclectic attitude of a Twenty-first Century boy.
