    Artist History
"Formed in late '68 out of the ashes of two bands "Ming Zeppelin" and "Fat Nemitard" F.R.U. using their ties with the record labels started touring right away. During this first tour named the 'Snord Citizen, Snord Tour' they decided to write some songs as the previous shows had been rather unusual. They also decided that it would be a great time to have a viking phase to publicly explore their Nordic roots and the the days of yor when some of thier relatives may or may not have spent time drinking grog on the North Sea. About six months in to the tour the F.R.U. decided to continue on to Europe for some more dates on their tour. On the flight over the pond the Zeppelin crashed when the pilot's ascott got caught on the control lever. Two of the six members were killed in the reck but F.R.U. decided to continue playing and hashed out a new record in January of '70 with an entirely new sound. Sadly one more member of F.R.U would perish before the recording session.. So with nothing but frustration and memories of three recent viking funerals the F.R.U. recorded a mostly unoticed record "Madrigal of the Fjord". Disbanding after a tour of empty clubs and many let downs.. the members of F.R.U. washed themselves off and blended back into society as humans for 28 years working human jobs drinking human beer. One member would secretly invent rap on a Harlem street corner in the late 70's but would fail to properly market it to suburban teens who were not interested in tunes like "He's The DJ and I'm The Metal Band" and "Little Baby DMX Will Be A Famous Rapper In 24 More Years". In Fall of '98 the F.R.U. found a way through their differences became a unit again and recorded smash breakthrough album "Nuclear From The Prevalent Useless Radar" released at #1 on the charts, #1 in your area! F.R.U. were back in a big way! Everybody went out and bought F.R.U. boots and grew the F.R.U. haircut and drank tons of 40's. After many world tours F.R.U. would return to a dark basement for 6 years to write a new record that might prove to be a smash hit percent 100 good rock! Only time will tell if this has been acomplished or not.. but one thing is for sure F.R.U. is most likely a band." -The Boston Crab
