Artist description "JUST TO BE WITH YOU" the new song by Clare Critchley. 14 year old Clare Critchley has created a hybrid of the street beats she loves and the power guitars she needs. Brought up around the recording studio in her home, a "normal" after school day for Clare includes listening to mixes, listening to other bands' recording sessions, finally winding down watching The Simpsons. "I think I knew really early that Clare was going to have a great voice. I'm really happy that she wanted to get involved with the studio. I'm now a huge fa n of her music", says Clare's father, Owen. Possessing a powerful, haunting voice that carries shades and depth beyond her years, Clare's influences are broad. "I sort of listen to everything. I love the beats of R & B and the guitars in Rock. Maybe we better think of a name for my style. I know when we record we like to keep the bass heavy like urban music but the guitars are really rock. I have David Fitzsimmons doing the guitars on my tunes! I still can't believe it when he comes in to record just f or me. I can't tell my friends how cool that is. They just look at me. It's frustrating but that's just my life. Dad says everyone has a style to their life, and I should try to be comfortable with mine. I guess he's right and I'm trying, but it's hard to go to school and explain how we were compressing the guitars all evening or something equally as strange sounding. I think my tunes communicate better what I do than I do. I'm just gonna keep doing this because I love it. What choice do I have, you know?" Tha t's g ood news for fans.
