Artist History
As The Elliott Family, Joan (mom) and Marlene (daughter) sang together for many years as a duet along with Tim (brother) on bass guitar and Milt (dad) as sound technician. They travelled extensively in Canada and parts of the United States sharing God’s love through Gospel music in true ‘family’ style.
Over the last fifteen (15) years Marlene and Joan have been enjoying their own, very busy, successful, solo ministries.
With the tragic loss of Tim to Cancer in 1997 Joan, Milt, Marlene and her husband Jim have individually and collectively been inspired by God to continue in music ministry more than ever. Not only in the memory of Tim, but also to continue to spread the Good News in admiration of The Lord who has sustained them through this trying time of life.
An average of 12 times a year, Marlene and Joan combine their talents once again to bring forth a polished and professional delivery to Black, Southern Gospel Music; a very unique, ‘family’ sound; a sound that has encouraged and uplifted many souls for years. They always will pull out some of the old songs and present some new ones too. Their stage energy is very contagious as they invite others to join in celebration of Jesus Christ.
