Press Reviews
Here are some really nice words about me from Will Lerner at Listen.com: A spectacularly inventive composer and percussionist whose experimental work descends directly from the Stravinsky/Bartok mode, Tom van Oostrom continues the progress made by such adventurous souls as Stockhausen, John Cage and Steve Reich. –Listen.com =================And from the Conducting Mouse Journal: What I like about Tom van Oostrom's music is that players have fun with his music. At fast tempos it is energetic, cheerful with gentle humor, in slow tempos it is calm and meditative, evocative of placid nature spots.======== "Great breadth of expression" -Beverley Conrad's Devil's Box Radio ========= Crazy Instrumental Rock Guitar! Radio calls Dim Calico Opus “one of the craziest rock instrumentals I've ever heard!" ===============And from the Beatiful Noise Radio (I think this is a positive reaction)- "Dope musique concrete which combines together DJ club skillz with John Cage. Still banging out da beatz!"
