Artist History Smokin Joe's lead singer established the band in Topeka, Kansas in 1997 after he and his members had played in various bands starting back in high school. After completing their demo with interest in New York and a small venture with a label in Los Angeles, they signed with Camel Records in Dallas, Texas.
