Artist description
Scalywags is now a 5 piece group. Mr. Jones on keys rounds the entire band out with his melodic and harmonic direction. Marquis and Marty continue to be the driving forces of the compositions. And Scalywags would not have evolved into the radio-friendly quintet they are today without "DROG"'s Chad on bass and Duffy on drums. |

Artist History
Marquis and Marty formed Scalywags in 1999. They recorded several tracks together and performed some acoustic sets in Minneapolis. Mr. Jones joined the duo in 2000 and "jumped right in". Marty and Marquis were amazed at how quickly Mr. Jones "clicked" with what they were doing. Scalywags played a few sets locally in this formation. In 2001, Scalywags was fully realized with the addition of Chad on bass and Duffy on drums. Marty also plays with Chad and Duffy in "Distant Relatives Of God" or "DROG". Scalywags recorded their 5-song demo in November 2001. A full-length CD and (many!) more shows are planned for 2002. |
