Artist description Peter Schaefer is an accomplished synthesist and multi instrumentalist who travels the world in search of unique sounds. He has been involved in many diverse styles of music including the New York avant garde, ethno/world music and has experimented with 15, 17 and 22 note scales. He has been a member of the Ensemble for neue Musik Dettenhausen which performs works by John Cage among others. Although Peter uses mainly electronic instruments, he does not restrict himself to such, and alongside the synthesizers are Chapman stick, cello, bongodu, udu, prepared bass guitar, hydromachine, kitchen utensils and much more.
