    Press Reviews
"I played the CD for children who were ages 3, 6, 9,10, 11, 13 and 14. The younger ones loved it andwanted to buy a copy immediately. The teenagers saidthey would want a tape to play in their carpools andthought it was "cool" for the novelty factor. The onlycomplaint was that the CD with 12 songs in 30 minutesended too soon. My group of reviewers wanted to knowwhen MOTHER GOOSE ROCKS VOL 2 will be available!"--Madeline Molis, Family Media and EntertainmentWhen an album called "Mother Goose Rocks" came acrossmy desk, forgive me for overreacting to the situationand figuring it was just one of those power punkacoustic-electro groups in their ambient-techno phase.Instead, "Mother Goose Rocks" turned out to be exactlywhat it sounded like: Mother Goose rhymes that, duh, rock. A mock rock compilation, the album features"Rub-a-Dub-Dub" by the Nice Girls (a spoof of theSpice Girls' "Wannabe"), "Humpty Dumpty" byChewygummee (a takeoff on Chumbawamba's "Tubthumper")and a blazing ska version of "Mary Had a Little Lamb"by the Highly Highly Lost Tones (Go ahead. You figureit out. I don't need to spell out everything for you). There is a Warner Bros. cartoon aspect to it. Iexperienced it firsthand by having fun playing "NameThat Tune" and seeing how fast I could identify the'real' songs!Candace Murphy, Mercury News Music Writer
