Artist description
Mammoth Records will begin a new series of compilation albums titled Morning Becomes Eclectic on September 7. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the
Rare On Air series, Morning Becomes Eclectic will feature the best in-studio performances culled from Nic Harcourt's popular morning show of the same name on
the highly regarded Los Angeles-based National Public Radio station KCRW / 89.9. Harcourt, who is also KCRW's Creative Music Director, produced the 17-track set
which features live music from: Joe Henry, Sixpence None the Richer, Mercury Rev, Morcheeba, Cake, Air , Pink Martini, Freestylers, Buffalo Daughter, John Martyn,
Lyle Lovett, Semisonic, Ednaswap, Beth Orton, PJ Harvey, Angelique Kidjo, and Brad Meldhau. Harcourt replaced Chris Douridas at the station as the acclaimed
show's host a year ago and has continued the fine Morning Becomes Eclectic tradition of exposing its audience to a wonderful and diverse mix of artists and musical
