Artist description
"we're all just prisoners here, swimming against the tide..." listen: unnecessary complexity only leads to distortion of the goal. with this written somewhere in the back of their minds, endmile set sail looking for something strange but, at the same time, familiar. endmile is a band who's guitars and bass can hit melodically or soothe painfully. they can sound like music boxes or a blurry picture of fire. listen: somewhere in the past, four people searched for the sound of loss, defeat, and love and retreated to the solace of music. endmile is a band who's drumming style combines passion as well as invention. the beats are as intricate in technique as they are in emotion. listen: musical honesty is difficult to maintain under the mundane gloss of language. have an influence, but do not take the sound. endmile is a band that remains sincere both lyrically and vocally. from the softest sentence to the thickest of yells. listen: to be unique in a world striving for "diversity" is not enough. to be yourself in a world of indifference is closer. endmile is a band that pulls from all directions. the music blends it's identities into one and becomes greater than the sum of it's parts. somewhere in the past: four musicians began transmissions of music. it was to become strange and familiar. it was to combine a melodic edge with invention, passion, and sincerity. it was to become endmile. |

Press Reviews
"Few local acts have the skill necessary to pull off the musical ride that Endmile displays on "The Myths of Automation," their second EP. The band is at their best on songs such as "blue circles grey" and "accidental tourism" that show off how easily they can jump from one style to the next-from quiet and introspective to distorted and loud, without missing a beat. They can blow out your speaker and bring a tear to your eye, all in the same song. The best thing that can be said about Endmile: their songs sound familiar and fresh at the same time. That, and anyone who hears this record will surely want to hear more." - Fort Collins Scene |
