This multicultural group was formed in 1984, consisting of Echota Cherokee Of Alabama leader Dimitri Cornell, Trinidadian bassist Andre King, American saxophonist Jim Hieneman, And Canadian drummer Greg Pilo in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The group has performed at concerts, festivals, on T.V., live radio broadcasts, night clubs, after hours clubs, and has recorded three albums under the name Dimitri Cornell/ In The Pocket Band . The group has shared the stage with the likes of James Moody, Moe Kofman,Jimmy Heath,Big Miller, John T. Davis,Johnny Taylor, Little Milton Cambell, Jody Drake, Frances Zar, Carole Collins, Demo Cates, and other musical luminaries in the U. S. and Canada. |
