The need to be different... the need to feel loved and admired... the need of feeling recognized... the feeling of being important and not left out... the money, the glamour... Many reasons could have made me do this band. But, surprisingly, there was only one simple reason to do it: passion for music. Everytime I watched a concert, I'd get out with that strange feeling that "I could do better than that, or, I'd do this and that instead of what he did, or, I wish I could be like that, live from my passion." And it was watching one of those concerts that I decided it was time to leave all my theater fantasies behind and do what I feared doing for too long now: making my own band. I remembered Pedro from a Music TV Show, and I knew he played guitar, so it was the perfect time to give it a chance... The thought was on my mind, and he had just entered the Bar. Things were easy:"Would you like to jam sometime?" - "Yes." - and so we did. But after a talk or two, I made very clear that I wanted to take it seriously. So there we were: Pedro (guitars), Mirroh (drums) and Abb (Bass) playing like teenagers, doing covers of whatever we thought of, while we had no original songs to play. Well, but it didn't take long 'till we got a song or two, and left covers behind. But covers were not all that was left behind. Abb, didn't quite follow the band's intention to go out and rock for life, so he ended up telling us he had no motivation anymore, and we were left to play; Pedro, Mirroh and I... And it lasted for several months, until Pedro thought about inviting a long time friend to play bass with us. We couldn't believe when he said "yes" and actually brought together a friend to play our so-wanted-so-hard-to-find keyboards. And so Likka and Zekka joined us. It didn't take longer than 2 months and we were already recording our first demo, well, come to think about it now, maybe we rushed things a little too much... but one can only learn with mistakes, isn't that so? The demo was called "ACT I" and 'till this same day it still remains with no cd cover decent enough... I think we all got a little disappointed with the resul, though we had very positive critics. But as time went by, things started to change a little bit, and our sound became - in my opinion - much better than before. We suffered a lot of changes, and we decided some months later, that we should record those changes. It was time for one very important music contest, and we needed a 4 track demo, so everyone agreed on getting "paintings" on CD and send the demo to try our luck. The song came out pretty good, and much better than the old ones. Now, we just needed to send the demo and "pray". Meanwhile, we made it into a contest and we ended up wining it, and though it was a good reason to feel proud and motivated, since that day on, all we had was bad luck. People laughed at us, as we explained we couldn't go to that very important festival we wanted to go so much. We made it into the selection, and yet, we had to say "no" to it, twice. Guilt should not come to subject, but unhappiness ruled in the band. We seeked many solutions to get a drummer to play with us, but no luck. Better yet, that desperate search brought discussion to the band. Being a band, is to try to make 5 or more elements into one, because all must have the same motivations, same strength to fight... you can't make something go forward if there's someone pushing it back, though all the others want to make it go up its way. It is awfull for a band to lose one of its first members, but that's what ended up happening. Mirroh has now left the band and Orca has joined us "full-time" and we are all very pleased at playing with him. Lets hope bad luck goes away and new oportunities start to show! And this is our story so far!
