Artist History
The band started in 2001 with Jym, Gian and DiFran. Prior to LKP there was a band called Kydmyn that featured Jym, John and Tony. They gained small exceptance at local teen center shows and being Billy Willy's house band at Billy Willy's former club in Brookfield, CT. The band went on hiatus and members went their seperate ways to be in bands such as Division Of One and a generic version of Last Kid Picked. Kydmyn played a combination reunion show with Connecticut White Bread which started the band back up again. Then due to musical differences the drummer left, Tony left to persue scholastic career leaving John and Jym to figure out what to do. Jym knew Gian the drummer from the generic LKP and then the present day LKP was formed. The "kyd" was kept in the name so that old fans of Kydmyn would associate the two bands. After a long awaited search for a guitar player and bass player we picked up Brenton Vaughn and Jason Go from Statement Of Purpose. After 5 months Jason and Brenton left to persue Statement Of Purpose and luck behold Tony returned to the band from the original lineup. This still left the band with only 1 guitarist. However, in October of 2002 the band recruited PJ, former guitarist of Epitaph recording artist, theGetaway. With a new found energy the band plans on putting out as much music as they possibly can, and touring as much as possible.
