    Artist description
John Cecil Price ( Born Oct 24th, 1969, in Dover, DE- USA ) is Prolific Producer and Multi-Instrumentalist-Songwriter/Storyteller who is best described as a being a combination of Jimi Hendrix, Bill Laswell & Hugh Heffner. John Price has been involved in making the most delicious electro-acoustic music to ever come out of Philadelpia beginning back in 1989. John's style of songwriting & musical storytelling deliberately crosses multiple genres and has consistently brought together some of the finest improvising musicians in the world with tremendous results. ( Elliott Levin, G. Calvin Weston, Ed Wilcox, Charles Dusquesne ). John has been involved with bands such as Temple of Bon Matin, 929 Blessings, Psychohead and White Girl which featured Kate Krusader and Charles Dusquesne. John Price brings to music a High Level of Technical & Melodic Texture that is both complementary and incisive belying his subdued manner and innocuous appearance. John's music as a solo artist & with AKASH & THE CRIME walks a lot of simultaneous musical lines & John Price is typically the ink in which the lines are drawn and moreover the scale which keeps balance of musical symmetry and precision.
