Artist History
If you're gonna call your band Iron Giant, you'd better be able to measure up and the men in Iron Giant couldn’t be more deserving of such a moniker.
Forming in mid - 2000, Iron Giant is an infectious mix of slutty riffs & thunderous rhythms. Already being compared to heavy heavyweights such as C.O.C., Down, & orange Goblin, they plan on releasing their own version of heavy to the world with their debut 10 song CD, "No Longer Sleeping", on Toronto's own "12th Planet Music".
Made up of the two biggest members of the Monoxides, Derek Robichaud (Guitar) & P.J. Dunphy (Bass) along with longtime friends & fellow alcoholics, Chris Lewis (Vocals) & Jon Flannigan (Drums), the boys in Iron Giant are a beats to be reckoned with as a live act. Combining sheer intensity with a menacing presence, their groove cannot be denied.
The confident swagger of an Iron Giant experience lets you know they deserve your attention, because they know they do.
If you like things heavy and you're and you're not offended by obesity or casual male nudity, roll one up, grab a beer and be ready to have Iron Giant show you have it's done.
You know you want it.

===Planet Fuzz===
Iron Giant have got killer grooves all over their 12th Planet debut. “No Longer Sleeping”. They are a heavy ass 4-piece who’ve created a huge buzz as one of the premiere heavy-rocking groove bands in Canada, gaining most of their fan base from their powerful live impact and incessant touring on the east coast. I’ve been hearing about them for quite awhile now, but haven’t actually heard them until now: let me tell you, the hype is real…these guys can rawk. The songs are well-written tour-tested monsters, and the band, fronted by vocalist Chris Lewis have totally got their shit together. This is good-time heavy rock, served best when loud.
===StonerRock.com===
Iron Giant take all the best elements of metal and stoner rock and have crafted an album that go toe to toe with all the heavy hitters in the scene. By combining the southern groove of Pepper Keenan-era Corrosion of Conformity, the downtuned sludge of Goatsnake and drunken swagger of Orange Goblin, the Giant have a bonafide "summer drinking" album on their hands.
