Artist History
Domingo started as a recording project between Dan Lynch and Matt Harmon, who were friends originally through their church. Dan had written some simple riffs and parts to make up a song, and he wanted Matt to record them on his 16 track recorder. On Sunday that week, they went straight from church to Matt's house, went through the riffs a couple times, and then Dan just plugged in and recorded the song. The two started getting ideas about what to add to the tracks next, one thing led to another, and by the end of the day, the two had laid down several hand percussion tracks, a fretless bass part, and an intreaguing vocal part with harmonies. This song, called In My Way, solidified the two as a "band", later deciding to call itself Domingo because of the frequent Sunday recording sessions, and set in stone several of the songwriting technics and concepts the two would use on future songs. Dan and Matt quickly contacted their friend Jeff Bucchianeri to play drums on future endeavors, and to this date Domingo has played one show, making Jeff its official drummer. Domingo has yet to find a bassist (Matt plays the bass parts on the recordings). |
