Artist History The origins of DISCREATE began in the fall of 2000. Alex Baldman (lead guitarist of Massachusetts "Bay Area Thrash" band Blistered Earth (www.blistered-earth.com)) and Jon Morency (Guitarist, Drummer of New Bedford, Massachusetts based metal band By Any Means) joined forces and began writing songs. One year later, Steve Fry (Rhythm guitarist of Blistered Earth) joined Alex and Jon playing the drums. Many months after Peter Rutcho (guitarist of Massachusetts rock band NEED'S END (www.needsend.com) and also thrash act CROTALUS (www.crotalus.org)) joined Alex, Jon, and Steve playing the bass guitar. Pete has also been a classically trained pianist for 15 years and has his original musical project VOMITRON (www.mp3.com/vomitron). The final touch was added when Kenny Benda (lead singer of Need's End) joined forces with the band in March of 2002 taking on the difficult task of vocals and finishing off the formation of DISCREATE. After several months of rehearsal, we are finally ready to take our unique style of Metal to the masses. The time is now. DISCREATE!!!
