Artist History The band originated in Santa Cruz, CA with Vaughn Lindstrom and Tyson Maulhardt working on an innovative record, which was the culmination of five years of playing music together. As soon as the cd was released and the popularity of this new music grew, Vaughn and Tyson based themselves in the Bay Area to form what is currently Diego's Umbrella. The additional talents of Billy Phirman on bass guitar and Michael Pinkham on drums were the final ingredients to finish a well-blended formula.
