    Artist History
In 1999 I became fascinated with the idea of creating electronic music by hand without the use of sequencers. Thus, the name Technorgana was chosen for this project based on this idea of Organic Techno. Technorgana is a far cry from the type of music I have done in the past. Hardcore Punk used to be my musical flavor of choice as seen on a previous project called Socionemesis based out of Welland, Ontario. I wrote, produced and performed on an album entitled, "World Euthanasia". The opportunity to record the "World Euthanasia" album came about in 1995 while I was affiliated with a recording studio that I had access to at discount rates. Drawing from my experience as a sound engineer, I managed to record over two albums worth of material by 1997 before the studio folded in 1998. Half of these Socionemesis recordings made the final cut for the "World Euthanasia" album. I abandoned Socionemesis due to changes in musical taste and personal changes. With the studio's demise, I had to return to the humble four track studio in my basement. This is where the tracks for "Hello" were recorded in the summer 1999. I had entered college by this time and was struggling to make ends meet. I literally had to use scraps and whatever was available. This included scrap pieces of metal, pipes, and old effects pedals that were lying around the basement. The song "Molested Balloons" was exactly just that - rhythmically rubbing balloons and then manipulating them through effects. Guitars were played using non-traditional techniques with effects. I was fortunate enough to know someone with a Moog who let me borrow it. I also used some traditional instruments that I had such a Mandolin, a Chinese hammered dulcimer called a Yang Chin and the East Indian drum, Tabla. However, some of these were put through effects and didn't always sound like real instruments. I did not have a sequencer or access to MIDI for that matter. Instead I manipulated the effects I had by hand though the development of a method I call "Poly-rythmic Knob Twiddling". This is demonstrated on the song, "Sirens of the New World Order". Since moving to Toronto in 2001, I acquired a job as an Audio Archivist. This gave me access to professional sound equipment once again. I have taken the opportunity to transfer recordings these from the four track to computer and remix them. "Hello" represents my early attempts at electronic music and is only a taste of what is to come.
