Artist description
RAWatson is now releasing his second cd: "Come to Light". This entire work has been dedicated and greatly influenced by the aftermath conditions since the September 11 event. "The Gulf" is the featured single release.
The songs in this second cd are personal expression of the many different feelings, such as, retaliation, reality and spiritual emotion, brought out by the 9-11 aftermath. The sound of the featured single is alternative hiphop to progressive rock.
Placing RAWatson in one particular genre might be a limiting and difficult task. His sound, tone, flavor had been greatly influenced by a wide range of great giants in the guitar world, but most especially by his father.
As an independent producer, musician, and performer, RAWatson is now releasing many of his original works. Projects are in the back burner in such musical genre as blues, rock, inspirational and more jazz. |

Artist History
Dedicating the title song and the title of his maiden jazz cd, "Up Close Pop" to his father reveals truthfully what is "up close to his heart" that drives the message on RAWatson's music.
"Master Take", the first featured song in this jazz collection, set the groove into a more of a personal musical journey. It is bumpy and upbeat, with many stating the tone is close to Wes Montgomery.
Yet, reprising this same groove on "Master Rock", many hear more of the tone as greatly influenced by the sound of Jimi Hendrix. |
