Artist History
In the beginning I focused my attentions towards computers.. not attempting to pursue my musical career because I wasn’t sure of him self; I was more concern what my family and friends would think and above all, I wanted to please my father and become a Computer Eng. “. Today, I am so glad that I did not relinquish music because others were not sure of me.
After having stared college with computers in mind, my mind-set started to change and I realized that music was getting inside my body, emotionally, as well as physically. And that was taking a whole new dimension. My life changed and it became obvious, that music and not computers would be my chosen profession.
To attain your goal, you must first see it in your mind’s eye. I knew very well that I would never be able to discover the ocean unless I had the courage to lose sight of the shore. And as an achiever I am possessed by a dream of doing my best, of reaching the outermost limits of my abilities and going beyond them. Before I set out on the road to achievement, I had to imagine my destination. Every great achievement begins with a vision: the power of imagination.
Most of my friends and family included, view things the way they are and say. “ Why this? “ yet, in a small country like Kuwait, I dared to dream things that never are and say “ Why not this? “ in my onion, destiny is not a matter of chance, it’s a matter of choice: It is not a thing to be waited for; it is a thing to be achieved. With music, I wan to be a magnet, pulling in people of different age groups from all around the world.”
To me, talent is when one does easily what others find hard to do. And in a small country where there’s not really a scope for getting anywhere with a career in music, that’s what I call doing what is impossible for talent.
My principle is, competing against myself. It’s about self-improvement, about being better than I was the day before. It’s victory over oneself, that’s the virtue of achievement. And I believe that those who know this can never know defeat. I look for the spectacular, for something greater then limitations.
It hasn’t been easy on me, but then again who said studying music would ever be easy. I wanted to have an influence. I wanted to have an effect. And that motivated me to go ahead and see what I could do. And try my hardest at it. I did not want to limit myself. We all are aware that life affords no higher pleasure then that of surmounting difficulties, passing from one step of success to another, forming new wishes and seeing them gratified. I kept on trying even when there seemed to be no hope at all and today I have accomplished what I’ve always wanted in my life.
Playing the piano and Composing for me is a refuge. I can escape from everything that is miserable in my life and I can be anyone I want to be in those moments. It is almost sinful how much I like it.
The steps from an idea, which is very expensive, to a finished product are really immense, and it can involve years. To composer your very own music, to release your own album, to mange and run a studio and to host your own concert, so many element come together. It’s like streams making their way into the river. You see the river, and it looks like it’s a rational whole but, in fact, it’s made up of numberless – perhaps thousands – of small streams. And it’s hard even to talk about this phenomenon. It’s a sort of rushing current. If I had an idea, the idea would not be sufficient. It had to be reinforced by something from the unconscious, some king of sympathy or connection, some sense of drama that’s like a spark of identification. I wanted to compose my very own music. And that has been an idea that was in my mind for years. It’s taken both rain and sunshine for my rainbow to appear.
Life is so very short and I believe you must cherish every moment. Dar to dream just once … I did !
