    Artist description
Original acoustic music with country, blues, folk, and rock influences. These are uplifting songs which Doc describes as " Pain music with a positive outlook on the end." Songs written by Doc Fields, a self made man who gets most of his influence from his many past experiences of pain in life as well as with the beauty he has surrounded himself with.Rather than being bogged down by the hassles of the modern world, such as computers and cell phones, Doc chooses to live his life in a cabin without electricity, with his wife and dogs in the mountains of East Tennessee. He had no intentions of ever exposing his music, but I thought that would be unfair to the rest of the world. I decided to help him get his music out to the public to let people know that true artists still exist today.Relax and Enjoy.
    Artist History
Doc Fields has led an exciting and eventful life. After finishing college at NE Louisiana University, he played two seasons as a catcher for the Houston Astros. His baseball career was cut short when he was drafted by the Army and sent to korea. After three years overseas Doc came back home where he owned an in insurance agency for several years. It wasn't until Doc was at the young age of 30 that he stumbled onto what would become his new love(don't worry Martha, we know who he loves most). Before he had even learned to play the guitar, Doc had weasled his way into a band. Doc spent many of the next few years touring and also became a truck driver to make ends meet. In 1987 he decided to sell everything, quit his job and moved to Atlanta to attend chiropractic school. Doc struggled over the next four years (he even lived in the back of his truck for a while) before graduating from Life University. He worked for several chiropractic offices over the next few years before moving to East Tennessee, where he opened up his own practice. His business was successful for the next six years, when once again he decided dedicate his time to his music. In 1999, Doc sold evreything , and moved into a cabin in the mountains of East Tennessee. There he lives with his wife of thirty years, Martha, and their three doberman. Though the move meant he would have to give up many luxuries, such as electricity, city water, and TV, his peaceful and beautiful surroundings have become a great source of inspiration.
