    With 10 CD's or original songs recorded and released, Bill Pere is widely recognized as one of the best lyric writers in today's music scene. His songs tell detailed stories with great impact. Bill is an exceptional 12-string guitar player, and is an accomplished arranged and producer as well. Bill has written feature articles on songwriting for many major industry publications. He is an Official Troubadour of the state of Connecticut.

    Artist History
    Bill began writing songs in the 1960's and recorded his first album on vinyl in 1981. He is one of the top performing artists in Connecticut, appointed by the Conencticut Commission on the Arts as Official State Troubadour in 1995. Bill writes in the story-song style of Harry Chapin and in fact has performed with the original members of Harry's band. Bill is a founding member of the Connecticut Songwriters Association, and is the Founder of LUNCH (Local United Network to Combat Hunger), which uses the power of popular music to produce positive social action. Proceeds from sale of Bill's CDs are used to benefit hunger relief and family service agencies.
    Group Members
    The LUNCH Ensemble consists of Bill Pere, Kay Pere, and a rotating roster of artists from the Connecticut Songwriters Association, as well as students from southeastern Connecticut.
