Artist description
Stumbling Stone is an acoustic folk-rock group from Indianapolis. Singer/guitarist Matt Moberly shares the spotlight with his wife, Andrea, who adds harmonies and percussion as well as hammered dulcimer. Matt's writing is influenced by Toad the Wet Sprocket and Duncan Sheik - artists whose songs can carry the same weight whether performed on an acoustic guitar or with a five piece band. A mix between modern worship and introspective revelation, Stumbling Stone follows in the footsteps of Christian artists Rich Mullins and Andrew Peterson. |

Artist History
Stumbling Stone developed out of the marriage of two musicians with a passion for performing in intimate settings. Matt and Andrea started dating in college, but didn't start collaborating musically until later in their relationship. "Our first recording together was done in Andrea's living room on our one-year anniversary of dating. We were already engaged. I gave Andrea a ring and a hammered dulcimer as part of my proposal... music is part of our expression of commitment to life together." |
