Artist History
SESAC songwriter of the year, Regie Hamm, has won this prestigious award four times - in 1995, 1996, 1997 and 2000. He has had songs recorded on albums that have sold over 10 million copies. Along the way, he has worked with Kenny Loggins, John Berry, Maxi Priest, Bob Carlisle, Tommy Simms, Steve Diamond, Mark Heimermann, and Clay Crosse to name a few. As a producer, Regie has produced Grammy and Dove award winning records.
Regie now turns his full attention to his artistry. Over the past five years, Regie has worked on the creation of his first solo record “American Dreams.”
His songs capture the varied images, feelings, thoughts and experiences of a person growing up in modern America. From the ever present hope that underlies American life expressed in “American Dreams”; to the feelings of a man finding love and the desire for a family in “Babies”; to beautiful moments of life captured in “Flying”, Regie portrays these images with the sensibility of a poet and the melodies of an award-winning songwriter. His album was created without pretense, and represents an honest slice of his life.
Regie puts it best:
“I’ve been writing this project off and on since 1995 with no regard for radio formats, demographics, potential singles or video treatments. It is simply life as I have experienced it. There is no agenda. My only hope is that you enjoy the ride as much as I have.”
